Deluxe Tick Safety Kit

This 80% Cotton / 20% Polyester canvas pouch, with a secure metal zipper and carabiner loop will keep your kit secure and handy.  A sturdy loop can be used to secure the kit to a belt loop or bag, or be used with a carabiner to lock the pouch closed.

 Our tri-fold information card provides detailed information on the various types of ticks you might encounter, what diseases they may carry and where they're located.  The card includes useful information to help avoid a tick encounter as well as instructions how to use the tools to safely remove an attached tick and treat the bite to avoid infection.  

 The tool kit includes three stainless steel tick removal tools:  Needle-Nose Tweezers for very small ticks and nymphs, a Forked Tool for larger adult ticks or ticks embedded in the skin, and

Double-Ended Tweezers for smaller ticks hiding in your pets fur

This Ultra-thin flexible 3x magnifier cards makes it easier to spot and identify the smallest ticks. Larvae which are the size of a poppy seed can bite, and according to the CDC, less than two millimeters in size, nymphs can bite people and remain virtually undetected and burrow into your or your pet's skin.  These small nymph ticks are actually the most likely to transmit Lyme disease or another tick-borne infection to humans than ticks at other stages. 

One of the most important steps following a tick bite, is to capture the tick so that it can be identified and then tested by your doctor or a laboratory.  The tick doesn't need to be alive, but it's important not to crush the tick as this increases the risk of infection.  With tightly fitting screw caps, these Capture Pods are the perfect vessel to trap and contain a tick after a bite.

Each Tick Safety Kit includes enough alcohol pads and adhesive bandages for multiple tick encounters.  It's always handy to have extra medical supplies whether it be for a tick encounter, or just the regular cuts and scrapes that come with adventuring in the outdoors.
